On August 19th sound artist and composer Nat Evans and LA-based composer and bassist Scott Worthington will present new works for bass, as well as a participatory walking meditation event created by Evans during his time on the Pacific Crest Trail in 2014.

I was one of Nat's collaborators on the album and you'll hear my track on the album along with others at the walking meditation event.

Music for a Very Long Walk collaboration with Nat Evans

I collaborated with Nat Evans on his project, "The Tortoise and His Raincoat: Music for a Very Long Walk," a 2,600 mile journey from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail. His work, mine, and that of the other 5 collaborators will be released in 2015 on Quakebasket Records.

Tauris @ Planet Connections in NYC

I created the sound design, wrote music, and made video projections for Sarah Moon’s new play ‘Tauris’ as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity in New York City. Daniel Emond also wrote live music for the production and Jenny Fersch directs.

“An adaptation of Euripides’ Iphegenia at Tauris, this epic musical adventure engages its audience in questions both personal and social: cultural attitudes toward environmental change, the complicated relationship between personal drive and public usefulness, and the conflict that arises when ideology gets in the way of love.”
