The text is taken from a brief essay my wife Judy wrote several years ago. The ensemble is for spoken voice and multiple players bowing a marimba. The spoken part is not limited to a certain number and the voice or voices can be openly processed if it seems appropriate. It would also be acceptable for one or more percussionists to speak the text.

Now that the summer is drawing to an end, I’ll be resuming my podcast over at NonPop. I’m happy to get going again and I’m always pleased to get feedback.
